Spiaggia di Isula Manna

This is the least frequented and wildest stretch of coastline. The beach, with a shallow, sandy, crystal-clear seabed, extends from the pier of the Tortolì fishpond to the mouth of the Rio Girasole to the north. Its name, meaning “large island” in Italian, derives from the shape of the beach.

The sandy expanse, with medium, light-colored grains, is an “island” of sand that varies from season to season with the mouth of the Rio Girasole. It is surrounded by a dense strip of pine forest resting on a dune system several meters high. Behind this precious shaded area and along its entire length, the Su Stoargiu canal flows. The mouth of the Rio Girasole, which forms a lagoon to the north, marks the border with Iscrixedda beach.

It is 2.5 km from the SS 125 road, which passes through the town of Lotzorai.
