On July 29, 30, and 31, 2022, the Municipality of Lotzorai hosted the largest balloon event in Sardinia, the OGLIASTRA BALLOON FESTIVAL, a unique and exciting event for adults and children alike.

The location chosen by Amc Event Sardegna, organizer of the event in collaboration with the tourist destination portal Life in Ogliastra and Mongolfiere al Sud Italia, is the Lido delle Rose in Lotzorai, a natural paradise with its vast expanse of sand and crystal-clear sea.

Over the three evenings, from 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM, three colorful hot air balloons offered tethered flights to the large, waiting audience, creating magnificent choreographies in the Ogliastra sky to the rhythm of the Radio Sintony DJ Set.

The large audience, who came from all over Sardinia, was able to attend the “Balloon Experience” and observe all the stages of balloon preparation and inflation, tasting street food made with strictly local products.

A true celebration of beauty and harmony, immortalized in countless images that evoke the magic of the event.

At dawn on July 29th, the first free flight in Sardinia took place near the center of Lotzorai, operated by the Mongolfiere al Sud Italia crew.

A highly successful event that showcases the flexibility of our land, always under the banner of joyful, harmonious togetherness in a pristine environment.
