Lido delle Rose is the closest and most easily accessible beach from the town, thanks to a large parking lot. Also suitable for families, it’s the liveliest in the summer months. The central section is known by locals as “Riva Bianca” (White Shore) due to the shallow sand and crystal-clear water, about ten meters from the shoreline.
The long, thick pine forest that protects it creates a natural refuge during the hottest hours of the day. Beneath the pine trees, the perceived temperature, especially with a light sea breeze, is as much as 10 degrees lower. The shaded area in the central section is public, while to the south it is home to two campsites. The beach offers many amenities, including the municipal library under the pine forest, which offers a free service much appreciated by summer readers young and old, a family-run restaurant serving dishes from local fishermen (and chefs), and a kiosk serving sandwiches and steaks. Other services: dinghy rental, lifeguard service, and wheelchairs for disabled bathers (services subject to seasonal availability).
The beach is 2 km from the SS 125 road, which passes through the town of Lotzorai.
